u3a Useful Links

BNB u3a is a local group but u3a is a national organisation with groups across all of the UK. The national u3a website is at https;//u3a.org.uk and provides a number of resources to assist local u3a groups. Here are some useful links.

Special Advisors

u3a appoints volunteer Special Advisors on many subjects that are adopted by local u3a special Interest Groups. The Special Advisors provide help and advice on their topics, as well as help to start a new group on the chosen topic. Walking/Rambling (Terry) - see https://www.u3a.org.uk/learning/subjects/walking - also reference a 'walking exchange' where members can exchange ideas for walks with other groups. Also lots of guidance on running a walking group, e.g. planning walks, risk assessment, first aid, insurance etc.
