BBC TV artist and tutor Dermot Cavanagh is to hold an inspirational 3-Day watercolour course in the West Midlands Near Solihull based at The Drum & Monkey Inn Dorridge from 10th to 12th February 2025. (See attachment for details)

Dermot Cavanagh is the artist, tutor and broadcaster behind the hit BBC TV series ‘Awash with Colour’. During 74 episodes of his art travelogue Dermot informed and inspired millions of viewers and taught a host of celebrities to paint the landscape. Charlie Dimmock, Gloria Hunniford, Suzanne Dando, Barry McGuigan and John Craven all took up painting under Dermot’s expert guidance.

Now he invites all artists, aspiring and experienced to join him to learn and develop techniques on painting, drawing and colour mixing. People often state that they have learned more from Dermot's courses in a few days than from attending other classes for years. He has a tried and tested method of tuition that allows him to bring out the artist in anyone, even those with the most basic skills. Dermot says, “If you have the interest and a desire to paint, I have the ability and experience to help you”. He will build your confidence, take away the mystery and have you creating works to be proud of in no time.
