As we are a registered Charity we are able to claim Tax refunds under the Gift Aid scheme for UK tax payers. Using Gift Aid means that we get an extra 25% from the Inland Revenue as a Tax Refund, helping your subscription payment go further. In order register under the Gift Aid scheme you must tick the box in the form to indicate you agree with the conditions specified in the form regarding Tax liability.
The Membership fee for BNBu3a secures membership of this u3a only and does not secure rights to personal use of any facilities or services provided by this u3a, such as venue costs for interest groups, for which additional fees may apply. The Membership fee does however include a subscription to the 'u3a Matters' national magazine.
If a Couples Membership is purchased and Gift Aid is claimed, the Tax payer must be the one paying for the membership.
