MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION FEES
The membership year for current members commences 1st April and is renewable each year.
Annual Membership fees are required to help pay towards the costs of providing the organisation events, magazine etc., although additional fees may be required towards the costs of attending at specific venues for group activities. The following gives a guide on the current level of membership fees for 2026/27. These will be required to be paid by the end of March 2026 for renewal of current membership.

HOW TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP
There are two ways to renew your membership:
- ONLINE RENEWAL - please go straight to the Renewal Form below. If you need to change any of your contact details, please inform the Membership Secretary as soon as possible.
- COUPLES: Only one partner needs to register online and/or pay for both, and the system will recognise the 2nd partner and update their membership automatically.
- When the Renewal Form is displayed, select the required membership option and and enter your details in the form on this page.
- You then have a choice on how to pay the subscription fee. If you choose 'Pay by Card' the payment buttons will appear and you can either pay via your Paypal account, if you have one, or select the button to pay via a debit card. NOTE: THE PAYPAL LOGIN FORM DISPLAYS FIRST ON THE PAYMENT PAGE - YOU CAN IGNORE THAT AND SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE TO SELECT THE CREDIT/DEBIT CARD OPTION.
- If you choose 'Pay by cheque or Cash' you can still register online and pay either by sending a cheque to the Membership Secretary or giving a cash payment via a Group Leader or the Treasurer. If you do this please put your payment in an envelope with your name and address on the front so that the payment can be tracked. This helps with Administration if you register online first. Further Instructions on this are provided when this option is chosen.
- Once your payment has been registered you will be sent a receipt, from Paypal and from the website if you paid online or just from the website if your payment was registered manually.
- ARE YOU ACCESSING THIS PAGE ON A PHONE? PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PAY YOUR SUBSCRIPTION ONLINE AS IT MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY. YOU MAY USE THE FORM BY SELECTING THE 'PAY LATER' OPTION AND FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE FOR POSTAL/IN-PERSON RENEWALS.
Please ensure you select the correct Membership option before submission.
2. POSTAL RENEWAL
Paper Renewal reminders will be posted out, only on request, to existing members during February/March this year for those with no email address only. There are details on the form about how to send payment and the form.
NOTE: EVEN IF YOU RECEIVE A POSTAL REMINDER AND/OR DO NOT WISH TO PAY YOUR RENEWAL ONLINE, PLEASE REGISTER ONLINE USING THE FORM LINK ON THIS PAGE AND SELECT THE 'PAY BY CASH/CHEQUE' OPTION TO REGISTER YOUR DETAILS AND YOUR INTENTION TO RENEW. THIS SIMPLIFIES THE ADMIN REQUIRED TO PROCESS YOUR PAYMENT.
GIFT AID REGISTRATION
As we are a registered Charity we are able to claim Tax refunds under the Gift Aid scheme. Using Gift Aid means that we get an extra 25% from the Inland Revenue as a Tax Refund, helping your subscription payment go further. If you have signed the Gift Aid Declaration in a previous year, indicating that we can claim Gift Aid 'Now and in future' we will continue to claim Gift Aid on this basis. If your Gift Aid status has changed (e.g. you no longer pay Income Tax), you MUST let us know so that we can amend the records

When you have registered your details by submitting the form and received the confirmation message, you will be redirected to the Paypal payment page. You do not have to have a Paypal account to make a payment, click either the Paypal button (If you have a Paypal account) or the Credit/Debit Card button to make your membership subscription payment.

Advise the committee of any change in your personal details..
Abide by the Principles of the u3a movement (as available online at u3a - Home)
Always act in the best interests of the u3a and never do anything to bring the u3a into disrepute.
Abide by the terms and conditions of the BNB u3a constitution
Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times.
Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee.
IMPORTANT - The Renewal form is best displayed on a Laptop/Desktop PC or a Tablet, as it does not display well on a small phone screen and will be difficult to process if attempted on a small screen.
